My advice: Check out Mastodon. ( https://mastodon.social/about )
It's less popular than Twitter/"X"/"Xwitter", but reportedly it's very good for getting in touch with other artists. And... It's not run by a crazy-person. :)
Bluesky 'also exists', but I didn't hear enough about it to say if it's any good.
